Park City Surveying Jobs
We’re always looking for the right person! If you’re interested in working at a firm where you’ll be mentored (or can mentor someone on our staff), apply today!
We work a 4-day workweek. That’s right: 3-day weekend every week.
You’ll be treated like the part of the team you are, not just a tool in the toolbox.
Deal-breakers
You must be compassionate and forgiving of each other as we get through the days. Surveying is physically & mentally hard. We expect you to know what to do & will teach you the firm’s exacting standards. However, there are always stressors of deadlines, weather & the ever-present project wrinkles. Those searching for a glamorous job standing on a mountain top taking selfies, or for a mere paycheck, should apply elsewhere.
You must be able to get to work. Our office is in Summit County. Not being able to get to work in bad weather is not an option. When there is horrible or dangerous weather, we have office/drafting work to do!
You must be punctual. On time. Dependable. We’re a very small firm and work as teams. If you’re late, we’re ALL late.
You must be able to get along with all types of people. We are committed to creating a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
Survey maps are forever. (Ignore the part where people tell you there’s a Statute of Limitations on Surveys. More on that during your interview.) This means we need you to be invested in the reputation of our firm’s good name. The quality of work you do today may echo decades later. You have to do good work EVERY SINGLE DAY. We’re not looking for perfect. We’ll help you; but you have to be willing to take responsibility.
Other dealbreakers
You must have a valid driver’s license.
You must be able to lift 75 pounds.
You must be able to walk long distances carrying heavy surveying gear.
We wear snowshoes in the winter.
You must be able to work long days (occasionally).
You must be well-groomed and have appropriate field wear that is durable yet presentable. Our clients are demanding, and we need to look like the Professionals that we are.
